I have owned every coffee maker there is. Everything from the 12-dollar single serve to the 500-dollar expresso maker. Bruvi by far has been my favorite. Easy to use. Creative design, versatile, crafty and downright makes a good cup of coffee. So happy with my purchase. I look forward to the price of the pods to come down a bit!

We're so happy to have you in the Bruvi community and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. As you probably know, coffee prices are very high industry wide. Our commitment is to offer a variety of premium coffees and espressos, including a range of price points. For example, our Poppy Hill brand is a great value at just over $1 per pod. Another way to save is with Auto Delivery where every order saves 15%. The Coffee Taste Map on our site may help you find some different options to try and you can always reach out to our Customer Care team at hello@bruvi. - Lindsay1 week agoReviewingThe Bruvi® BundleRated 3 out of 5 starsNot quite hitting the mark
I really *wanted* to love the Bruvi, especially given the price point. It looks great on the counter and the idea of eco-friendly pods is appealing. But after extended use, it’s clear that several product design decisions are actively working *against* the user experience and that’s what makes it feel not worth the money.
The biggest issue is the pod handling system. Automatically dropping pods into a receptacle sounds convenient on paper, but in practice it adds friction, mess, and failure points. The bin fills up quickly, spills coffee when you have to empty it, and too often becomes part of the problem instead of the solution. I’ve had pods fall through without being brewed, especially refillable eco pods, which defeats the purpose entirely.
Worse, when something goes wrong, the machine requires hands-on intervention in places that should never require it. I’ve had to put my fingers inside the machine near the needle area to retrieve stuck pods. That’s not just inconvenient; it’s a design flaw. A coffee machine at this price should never require that level of manual troubleshooting.
Temperature consistency is another miss. If I don’t use the hottest setting every time, the coffee comes out lukewarm. That suggests the default heat profile isn’t aligned with how people actually drink coffee.
None of these issues feel unsolvable. Design changes that would materially improve the experience:
* A simpler pod workflow (manual in / manual out or a better ejection path)
*…

Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback. We always appreciate hearing what's working for customers and what isn't. Many of our customers like having the waste bin instead of removing each pod after use, but I hear that's not your preference. If helpful, our Customer Care team can provide some suggestions about using the refillable pods. In terms of temperature consistency, I'll ask the Customer Care team reach out to you since that doesn't sound like a typical experience. (One small suggestion, especially if you're in a colder climate, is to pre-warm your cup before brewing. Simply use the hot water button to dispense 1-2 ounces of hot water into your mug, swish it around and then pour out. We've found that really helps to keep coffee warm.) Again, thanks for the feedback and for being part of the Bruvi community.
