Bruvi Coffee Recipe Tips!
My favorite time of year is upon us, the holiday season! As the snow begins to fall (seemingly everywhere but here in sunny California) and the ugly holiday sweaters become fashionable, it’s time to spice up your coffee game. Follow these fun holiday coffee recipes below and you will be in for a cheerful holiday season!
Holiday Coffee Recipes: Irish Coffee
An adult wintertime classic! Simply pair your favorite hot brewed coffee with the Irish whisky of your choice, some sweetener and whipped cream and you are off to the races.
What you need:
- 8 oz. De La Casa, Wonderland Coffee®
- 1-2 oz. Irish whisky
- 1-2 tsp. sweetener (sugar or maple syrup)
- whipped cream (on top)
Combine all ingredients together, adjust to taste and top with whipped cream!
Suggestions:
- I recommend a medium to dark roast coffee so the coffee flavor cuts through the strong Irish whisky
- Switch to Broken Compass Decaf Coffee if you don’t need the late-night caffeine buzz
- Swap the hot coffee for iced coffee and serve chilled for a delicious cold variation
- Whether you like it hot or cold, Bruvi® can make the perfect hot or cold brew coffee for your Irish coffee at the touch of a button
Holiday Coffee Recipes: Gingerbread Latte
Gingerbread is certainly one of those quintessential holiday flavors that also happens to pair well with coffee. If simply dunking your gingerbread cookies into your hot coffee just isn’t cutting it, try the late variation below.
What you need:
- 2 oz. Euphoria Espresso, Wonderland Coffee®
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. sweetener (sugar or maple syrup)
- 1 tbsp. molasses
- steamed milk
Mix molasses, sweetener, cinnamon and ginger with the hot espresso shots before pouring in the steamed milk. Serve immediately and top with whipped cream and cinnamon if you want to get a little fancy!
Suggestions:
- Swap the steamed milk for steamed eggnog to take the holiday festivity up a notch
- Add a ½ tsp. of clove and or nutmeg to enhance the gingerbread goodness
Holiday Coffee Recipes: White Chocolate Mocha
A standard mocha is always a good choice but a white chocolate mocha will be my go-to this year. A simple yet delicious drink that everyone will enjoy!
What you need:
- 2 oz. Causu Espresso, Mulholland Roasters®
- 2 tbsp. white chocolate sauce or 2 tbsp. finely chopped white chocolate
- steamed milk
- whipped cream
Mix the espresso shot with
the white chocolate or sauce before adding the steamed milk. Top with whipped cream and even some white chocolate shavings if you get down like that!
Suggestions:
- Chocolate sauce might be a tad easier but try using a premium white chocolate bar instead to get a purer white chocolate taste
- Consider adding in a few drops of peppermint extract (to taste) for the white chocolate peppermint mocha of your dreams
- While store bought whipped cream is good, try buying some heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla to make your next batch from scratch!
