Bruvi brews an excellent cup of coffee. The touch screen is intuitive and easy to use. The reusable capsules are a nice option for your favorite ground coffee. Just clean them soon after use or the grounds turn into concrete. The pods are as delicious as they are convenient. I enjoyed my Nespresso Vertuo machines coffee quality. But they required replacement too quickly. Time will tell, but the Bruvi seems to be well constructed. The only negative I've encountered is the used pod bin. It doesn't hold many pods so it needs to be dumped often. Plus it's one piece, so dumping pods isn't easy without dumping overflow coffee from the bottom of the bin.

A hint for emptying the pod waste bin - if you're not already doing this - it's easiest to first remove the drip tray, then pull out the waste bin. You can then easily empty/wash out both. If that's true why four stars you say? Two reasons, neither of which were part of my purchasing decision, but knowing that they're there drops a star for me. First, I love the coffee it brews, I love how fast it brews, I love the notifications on the screen, I love the form, I love function, I love the water reservoir, I love how easy it is to make adjustments to the brews, I would 100% recommend this brewer to anyone who asks.
However. Two things hold it back from perfection. The spent cup holder fills really fast and is messy to empty because of how much water/coffee is left in the pods when they go in the holder. My only other experience really is with the Nespresso machine and it just didn't have nearly so much water in its cup holder. Keurig obvi requires you to kill the planet a little right away and doesn't have a holder for its plastic cups. Also, although there's a window to see the cups in the holder, in my experience, the first indication the holder is full is that the cup you want to brew won't sit down in the machine.
Thing the second that is a bummer about the machine is that the app doesn't work with new Android devices. They've been promising a release for about a year now and yet as of a couple of days before this review, there was still no fix out and no updates promising a fix have come out since June 2024. This is not universe ending for me as I don't imagine I'd use the app all that much other than maybe for the store. But if you're going to have an…

We have had this machine for several weeks now after purchasing it during the holiday sale. I had been eyeing it awhile as we have started to drink mostly cold brew. We were blowing through the store-bought jugs and I was having to make pitchers everyday when I tried that.
We had a Nespresso machine that we loved, but we only made espressos in it, and while it was delicious too we were limited.
I am so happy with the Bruvi and I hope it continues to become more popular! My husband has been enjoying cold brew but also just “plain old coffee”, and I’ve been drinking more evening tea with the hot water option.
As gimmicky as apps can sometimes feel, I’ve been programming the cold brew to be ready in the morning for me and it’s great! (Especially if I have to make one for my husband too, it saves time!)
The machine seems to be high quality and easy to maintain so far. Not to mention how adorable it is. It really seems like A LOT of attention was paid to little details.
The pods are cheaper than nespresso, especially if you use the auto-ship for your favorites. So that feels good to save money, plus I don’t have to save them up to send back to the recycler like Nespresso.
